PBKS vs MI, IPL 2024 Highlights: Mumbai Indians beat Punjab Kings by 9 Runs
On Thursday at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Mohali, the Mumbai Indians set a target of 193 for the Punjab Kings.
Suryakumar Yadav led the scoring for Mumbai with a stellar 78 runs, while Tilak Varma provided strong support, remaining not out with 34 runs off 18 balls. Rohit Sharma opened with a solid 38 runs. On the bowling side, Harshal Patel was the standout for Punjab, claiming three wickets in his impressive haul.

Punjab had a terrible start, losing four wickets in just the first two overs due to Gerald Coetzee and Jasprit Bumrah’s attacks on their top-order.
Then, it was time for Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma to step up. Both players hit powerfully to bring Punjab back into the game.
After Shashank got out, it seemed like the end for Punjab. But Ashutosh took charge, hitting hard against Mumbai’s bowlers to narrow the gap.
In the last over, needing 12 runs to win, Rabada tried for a risky second run and was run out in a tense finish, leading Mumbai to a narrow 9-run victory!
